Nigeria's under-20 women's football team, the Falconets, have secured their place at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Poland (scheduled for 5–26 September) after beating Malawi's Young Scorchers 3-2 on aggregate in their qualifying tie. After winning the first leg 2-0 in Ikenne, Nigeria conceded twice in Lilongwe to trail 2-0 on the day, before substitute Precious Oscar dispossessed a Malawian defender and scored in the 62nd minute to restore the aggregate lead and seal qualification. The result extends Nigeria's remarkable record of qualifying for every edition of the tournament at this level.
