Human bones have been discovered in the Tarn département (a rural area in southwestern France) at the location identified by Cédric Jubillar, who was convicted of murdering his wife Delphine and confessed to the killing on 6 July after five years of denials. Jubillar, a 38-year-old decorator, led investigators to the site on 16 July and reportedly spent 90 minutes giving a full account of events, with his lawyer saying he sought "to deliver the truth in an absolute way." The remains, which may include two femurs, have been sent to the national gendarmerie's forensic institute near Paris for analysis to confirm whether they belong to Delphine Jubillar, a 33-year-old nurse and mother of two who disappeared in 2020.
