Pakistan's military said on Tuesday it had successfully test-fired an extended-range version of its domestically developed Fatah-IV ground-launched cruise missile, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR, the army's media wing). The statement said the test validated upgraded avionics, navigation aids and sub-systems meant to improve accuracy and survivability, and it was praised by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, the army chief. It follows a series of Pakistani missile tests, including a Fatah-IV launch in May and a 750-kilometre-range launch in September 2025, underscoring Islamabad's continued investment in long-range conventional strike capability.
