A family dispute in the Alzira neighbourhood of l'Alquerieta, in the Valencia region of eastern Spain, turned deadly early Wednesday when a quarrel between two young cousins escalated into a street gunfight involving around a dozen relatives. A 56-year-old man died after being struck multiple times, including once in the heart, while three others were wounded — one of whom required surgery but is not in danger. Police have arrested four men from one of the families in connection with the incident, which is now under investigation by the homicide unit.
