Russian forces struck the Ukrainian capital Kyiv early Thursday, killing a 12-year-old child and wounding at least 10 people, including several medics, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Rocket fragments hit a 16-storey residential building in the Podilskyi district, sparking a fire, while debris from a second strike ignited a large blaze in the Obolonsky district; rescuers pulled another child and her mother from the rubble. Separate Russian attacks on the cities of Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Odessa wounded a further 15 people across Ukraine on the same day.
