Amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza, a nonprofit organization called Scholars Without Borders has established a makeshift university campus in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, giving thousands of students cut off from higher education a chance to resume their studies. The facility features seven classrooms equipped with smart screens, internet access, electricity, and water, and can accommodate approximately 1,000 students per day, serving enrollees from institutions such as the Islamic University in fields including medicine, nursing, and engineering. The initiative is part of a broader plan to build 300 field schools across Gaza, with 70 units already completed, as educators and students work to rebuild academic life despite the devastation surrounding them.
