OpenAI has agreed to spend more than $20 billion over three years on servers powered by chips from Cerebras, a US semiconductor startup, according to a report by The Information. The deal may also grant OpenAI an equity stake in Cerebras, deepening ties between the two companies. The agreement, an expansion of a January contract worth over $10 billion for up to 750 megawatts of computing capacity, reflects OpenAI's push to secure the computing infrastructure needed to stay competitive in the rapidly accelerating artificial intelligence industry.
