Pakistan and New Zealand have formalised closer ties in education and agriculture following their third Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting and fifth round of political consultations, held in Wellington. A key outcome was the signing of an Education Cooperation Arrangement between the two countries, while trade discussions centred on sustainable agriculture, including technical collaboration in wool production and plant protection. The two sides also agreed to strengthen coordination in multilateral forums, with Pakistan's delegation briefing New Zealand on Islamabad's efforts to ease regional tensions, including the ongoing dispute over the Indus Waters Treaty with India.
