A member of the British armed forces has died in a road traffic accident in Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defence confirmed on Saturday. The individual, who has not been named at the family's request, was not killed as a result of hostile action, according to the MoD. The death marks the second such loss in months — British paratrooper George Hooley, 28, died in December in what the MoD called a "tragic accident" away from the frontlines — underscoring the ongoing risks faced by the small number of UK personnel stationed in Ukraine to support the country's armed forces and provide security to diplomats.
