Sprint legend Usain Bolt has advised rising Australian sprinter Gout Gout, 18, to surround himself with the right people in order to stay focused on his athletics career as fame and distractions grow. Bolt, who holds world records in both the 100m and 200m, told CNN that young athletes can easily lose sight of their sport when pulled in different directions, warning that "if you mess up on track and field, then it all goes away." Gout Gout, the son of South Sudanese immigrants, has drawn comparisons to Bolt after clocking 19.67 seconds in the 200m at the Australian Athletics Championships and is considered a potential gold-medal contender for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics; he is set to make his Diamond League (the top international athletics circuit) debut in Oslo on 10 June.
