In Lahore, the Water and Sanitation Agency recorded an average of 24.6mm of rain across the city, with the airport area receiving the heaviest downpour at 104mm, submerging major roads, underpasses, and low-lying neighbourhoods. The incidents highlight a recurring infrastructure challenge across South Asian urban centres, where drainage systems frequently struggle to cope with seasonal monsoon rains.
