New Zealand singer-songwriter Aldous Harding has released her fifth studio album, 'Train on the Island' (via 4AD), continuing a shift toward more polished, accessible sound while maintaining her characteristically enigmatic lyricism. Produced once again by John Parish (long-time collaborator of PJ Harvey), the record features warm instrumentation and subtle arrangements that conceal unsettling undercurrents, as showcased in the deeply strange music video for lead single 'One Stop,' in which Harding performs a contorted, exhausting dance inside an empty concrete water tank. The album sees Harding grappling with themes of memory, identity, and lost innocence in typically oblique fashion, and she is set to tour Europe in support of it, including dates in Hamburg, Berlin, and Munich in June and July 2026.
