Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has frozen four additional high-value properties linked to Bahria Town, the real estate conglomerate owned by tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain, on orders from an accountability court in Karachi. The seized assets include the landmark Bahria Icon Tower in Clifton and the Bahria Town Tower on Tariq Road — both allegedly built or held using laundered funds through front companies and "benami" (nominee) owners — as well as large land holdings totalling nearly 2,850 kanals in Sheikhupura and Peshawar. The action, taken under Pakistan's Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010, signals an escalation of the long-running accountability case against one of the country's most powerful property developers.
