The three leading candidates in Colombia's presidential race wrapped up their campaigns on Sunday with large rallies across the country, one week before a first-round vote on May 31 that is widely expected to produce a deeply polarising runoff on June 21.

Leading the polls is leftist senator Iván Cepeda, 63, of the ruling Pacto Histórico coalition, who closed his campaign on a main avenue in Barranquilla, the major Caribbean coastal city, before tens of thousands of supporters. Cepeda has pledged to continue the social reform agenda of incumbent President Gustavo Petro, including the so-called
