Pakistan has renewed its ban on Indian aircraft using its airspace until September 24, according to a Notice to Airmen (Notam) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority. The restriction, which covers both of Pakistan's flight information regions — Karachi and Lahore — bars Indian-registered aircraft as well as those operated or leased by Indian airlines, including military flights. The ban was first imposed in late April 2025 following a deadly militant attack in the Pahalgam area of Indian-administered Kashmir, which triggered a sharp escalation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, and has since been extended multiple times.
