Eight teenagers have been charged with murder in Queensland (Australia's northeastern state) after a 21-year-old man died following an alleged assault at an Airbnb gathering in Bahrs Scrub, south of Brisbane, on 26 July. Police allege the group arrived at the party armed with weapons as part of a "preconceived plan" to inflict harm, leaving the victim with fatal head injuries, several vehicles destroyed, and a home extensively damaged. More than 80 officers executed 14 search warrants across three police districts to make the arrests, and authorities have warned that further charges remain possible as the investigation continues.
