Van Duijvenbode built an early 8–4 lead through two breaks, but Van Gerwen fought back to take the lead at 11–10 before Van Duijvenbode sealed the match with a decisive leg featuring two maximum 180 scores. The result leaves three Dutch players still in contention at a tournament offering a total prize fund of £1 million, with the winner set to receive around €264,000 alongside a trophy named after darts legend Phil Taylor.
