A 16-year-old boy has been detained in the Netherlands in connection with a March explosion at a office complex on the Zuidas (Amsterdam's main financial district), prosecutors announced. The teenager is suspected of involvement in preparing the attack, which took place on the night of 15–16 March at a building on the Strawinskylaan, where an explosive was placed at a revolving door, causing a small fire. A group calling itself Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiyyah claimed responsibility on social media and has also claimed attacks on a synagogue in Liège, a Jewish school in Amsterdam, and a synagogue in Rotterdam, making the case significant for broader investigations into coordinated extremist activity across the region.
