Around 150 graves at the Sovjet Ereveld (Soviet Honour Cemetery) in Leusden, the Netherlands, have been daubed with red paint bearing slogans including "Fuck Putin," "Fuck Zelensky," and "Fuck communism," alongside white supremacist phrases and references to a Russian neo-Nazi group. The cemetery, located near the former Nazi concentration camp Kamp Amersfoort, holds the remains of 865 Soviet victims of World War II, many of them prisoners of war killed at the camp. Dutch Defence Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius condemned the act as unacceptable, stating that war graves must be left in peace, while police have opened an investigation and authorities say the paint will be removed as quickly as possible.
