Italian long-distance runner Yemaneberhan Crippa, 29, claimed victory at the Paris Marathon on Sunday, finishing in a personal best time of 2 hours, 5 minutes, and 16 seconds. Ethiopia's Bayelign Teshager took second place just five seconds behind, with Kenya's Sila Kiptoo completing the podium. In the women's race, Ethiopia's Shure Demise shattered the course record by over a minute, winning in 2:18:33 ahead of two fellow Ethiopians.
