India will hold foreign minister-level meetings for both the BRICS grouping and the Quad security dialogue in May, Indian diplomatic sources have confirmed. The BRICS gathering will mark the first face-to-face encounter between Iranian and UAE officials since the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran on 28 February 2026. The Quad meeting (a strategic forum bringing together India, the United States, Australia, and Japan) is expected in the last week of May and is likely to include U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has already been announced as visiting India that month.
