Taylor Swift has announced a new single, 'Patient Zero', set for release on Friday 26 September — her first new music since marrying NFL star Travis Kelce at New York's Madison Square Garden in July. The pop star teased the news via a cryptic countdown clock on her website and a subtle change to her Instagram bio, in which each letter 'o' was replaced with a zero, hinting at the title. The track will be available in three limited-edition CD variants, including acoustic and piano versions priced at US$3.99 each, and arrives ahead of Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, where Swift is set to become the most awarded artist in VMA history.
