The measures, renewed until 31 July 2027, include asset freezes, travel bans, and restrictions on weapons transfers to non-state armed groups. While council members noted gains in governance and security in the capital Bangui, the CAR's own UN ambassador raised urgent questions about how sanctioned groups continue to obtain arms, warning that without identifying the financing networks behind them, the country risks a recurring cycle of disarmament and rearming through new supply chains.
