The long-awaited Michael Jackson biopic, titled 'Michael', held its world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, drawing members of the late pop star's family to celebrate the film. Jaafar Jackson — Michael's nephew and son of his brother Jermaine — takes the lead role, describing how he studied archival footage and sought insight into his uncle's emotional state during performances to prepare for the part. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Colman Domingo as Jackson's notoriously demanding father Joe and Nia Long as his mother Katherine, the film opens in UK cinemas on 22 April and in the United States on 24 April.
