Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has sustained a left shoulder injury during a weekend training session in Paris, forcing organisers to postpone her professional debut. A clinical examination on Monday confirmed a painful shoulder syndrome deemed temporarily incompatible with competition, leading organisers to cancel the entire boxing evening that had been scheduled for 23 April at the Salle Wagram in Paris. The postponement also affects two World Boxing Association (WBA) title bouts on the same card, including a super-lightweight interim WBA title fight between French Olympic champion Estelle Mossely and Argentina's Karen Elizabeth Carabajal.
