A 57-year-old German tourist has died after a snake crawled into his trousers and bit him on the leg during a snake-charming show at a hotel in Hurghada (a popular Red Sea beach resort in Egypt). The two snakes, believed to be cobras, were being draped over audience members when the performer allowed one to enter the man's clothing; he showed immediate signs of poisoning and died in hospital after being resuscitated at the scene. German police and prosecutors in Bavaria are investigating the death and awaiting toxicology results, while Egyptian authorities have said they are unaware of the incident.
