German club Bayern Munich has signed Moroccan attacking midfielder Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven (the dominant force in Dutch football in recent seasons) for a reported fee of around 55 million euros, the club announced Wednesday. The 25-year-old has agreed a contract through June 2031 and will wear the No. 34 jersey — a tribute to his friend Abdelhak Nouri, who has been unable to move unaided since collapsing during a match in 2017. The signing comes on the back of a standout World Cup 2026 campaign in which Saibari scored three goals in four games for Morocco, including the decisive penalty in a shootout win over the Netherlands.
