Marvel Studios announced at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Saturday that British actor David Jonsson will play the next Black Panther — the son of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa — in "Black Panther III," due in cinemas on 15 December 2028. Jonsson, 32, known for roles in "Alien: Romulus" and the TV series "Industry," appeared on stage alongside director Ryan Coogler and original cast members Letitia Wright and Winston Duke. The announcement ends years of fan speculation over who would inherit the mantle following Boseman's death in 2020 and the revelation in 2022's "Wakanda Forever" that T'Challa had a son.
