Pop star Britney Spears has voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation clinic, according to a representative for the singer, weeks after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The 44-year-old was reportedly weaving at high speed on a highway, and tests indicated she had used both alcohol and drugs; she is due in court over the incident on 4 May. Spears has long struggled with substance dependency — she previously disclosed an addiction to Adderall (a prescription stimulant widely used for ADHD in the United States) in her 2023 memoir — and has sought treatment before, including multiple stints in rehab in 2007.
