Danish police have arrested a 28-year-old Dutch national, identified as Yahye O., after his flight from Ethiopia landed in Copenhagen. He is suspected of two serious assaults carried out on the same day in May 2022 — one at a Copenhagen hotel, in which a 28-year-old victim died the following day, and a second in an apartment where a 25-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and had his cheek slashed and ear severed. A Bulgarian co-defendant was convicted in 2024 and sentenced to nine and a half years in prison, while the newly arrested suspect's pre-trial detention has been extended by 25 days.
