Belgian designer Glenn Martens (43) staged his final show for Diesel (the Italian denim and streetwear brand) during Milan Fashion Week, presenting a spring-summer 2027 collection defined by layered leather, washed denim, micro-shorts, and an overtly erotic atmosphere — set to the breathy strains of Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby." The six-year tenure, which began when Diesel founder Renzo Rosso appointed Martens in October 2020, is credited with returning the brand to the centre of global fashion and pop culture. Martens now turns his full attention to Maison Margiela (the Paris-based house founded in 1988 by fellow Belgian designer Martin Margiela), where he has served as creative director since January 2025; his successor at Diesel has yet to be named.
