India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a long-sought fugitive linked to the disappearance of two Kolkata residents in July 2014. The accused, identified as Bhola Singh — also known by the aliases Gautam Kumar and Amit Sharma — had been evading authorities for nearly 12 years before being located in Surat, Gujarat. The case was referred to the CBI by the Calcutta High Court following a petition filed in 2015, making the arrest a significant development in a long-dormant investigation.
