Nigerian Foreign Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu says her country wants to deepen cooperation with South Korea on democratic governance, digital administration and anti-corruption systems, citing Seoul's political transition as a model for Africa. Speaking ahead of the Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Seoul on Monday — a gathering of more than 50 African foreign ministers — she also called for expanded South Korean investment in sectors including renewable energy, smart manufacturing and shipbuilding. Odumegwu-Ojukwu added that Nigeria is working to revive a bilateral double taxation avoidance agreement suspended after Nigeria failed to complete ratification procedures following its signing in 2006, saying a revised deal is needed to restore investor confidence.
