Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday carrying a message from army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir for Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in what marks his third visit to Iran in recent weeks. The trip is part of Pakistan's ongoing diplomatic effort to revive stalled indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran, which have been deadlocked over Iran's uranium enrichment programme, sanctions relief, and regional security issues — including the status of Lebanon — despite a ceasefire brokered in April holding formally in place. Naqvi, who was briefed and given special instructions by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before departing, is expected to hold talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and other senior officials in an attempt to prevent the diplomatic process from collapsing entirely.
