A child has been killed and two other young children and a woman left in critical condition following a stabbing attack in the Blue Mountains (a mountainous region west of Sydney, Australia). New South Wales police say emergency services found the victims — three children and a woman in her 40s — with stab wounds inside a vehicle on Waratah Road, Valley Heights, after members of the public performed first aid while calling emergency services. One child was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two children, both believed to be under five, and the woman were transported to Westmead Hospital; police say they are not seeking any other suspects.
