The navies of South Korea and Canada held a joint military exercise this week in waters off Canada's Pacific coast, Seoul's military announced on Saturday. The drill involved South Korean vessels — including the submarine ROKS Dosan Ahn Chang-ho and the frigate Daejeon — alongside Canadian counterparts, the submarine HMCS Corner Brook and the frigate Ottawa, with both sides deploying shipborne helicopters. The two nations practiced anti-ship and anti-submarine warfare, with Seoul describing the exercise as a strengthening of joint operational capabilities between the two allies.
