A cholera outbreak originating in the Democratic Republic of Congo has spread into northern Cameroon, with health authorities reporting more than 1,000 cases and 28 deaths since mid-July. The affected districts — Fotokol, Mada, Makary, and Kolofata — are receiving coordinated support from Doctors Without Borders, while facilities such as Mora District Hospital have established triage tents and are conducting rapid diagnostic testing to isolate confirmed patients.
