Sok Ram, 33, told reporters at the scene: "I wish it hit me, not my baby and daughter," while the children's father, Vundy Tha, said the family forgave the driver and urged all motorists to drive safely. Bystanders performed CPR and a group of motorists physically tipped the car onto its side to free one of the children, but both died in hospital shortly after; a GoFundMe fundraiser for the family had raised more than $115,000 by Thursday afternoon.
