Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide in Islamabad on Thursday, with both sides pledging to deepen ties across trade, renewable energy, climate change, and education. The visit — the first by a Norwegian foreign minister to Pakistan in a decade — followed earlier contacts including phone calls between the two ministers and a Norwegian state secretary's trip to Islamabad in May. The two countries also exchanged views on regional and international developments, signalling a broader diplomatic re-engagement between the two nations.
