Brazilian federal deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ), a former ally of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has contacted Brazil's Interpol liaison office to request an international criminal investigation into the financing of Dark Horse, a biographical film about former president Jair Bolsonaro. Farias alleges possible money laundering and cross-border financial triangulation involving multiple entities, including Dutch-registered firm Freeway Cam BV, U.S.-based New Path Pictures Inc., and Go Up Entertainment, the film's production company. The request gains added weight from reports that Daniel Vorcaro — a former banker currently under arrest and investigated for alleged fraud linked to Banco Master (a mid-sized Brazilian lender) — is among the film's principal financiers, which Farias argues shifts the matter from a private film investment into a potential chain of illicit financial flows.
