A new poll by campaign group Best for Britain has found that 53% of British voters support fully rejoining the European Union, ten years after the 2016 Brexit referendum — with backing rising above 80% among Labour, Liberal Democrat, and Green party supporters. Polling expert John Curtice warned that Labour's so-called "strategy of silence" on the issue is politically risky, noting the party is losing voters to the Liberal Democrats and Greens at roughly twice the rate it loses them to the pro-Brexit Reform party. Analysts say Labour faces a deepening contradiction: its chancellor has acknowledged Brexit cost the economy around 8% of GDP, yet its current EU reset policy is projected to deliver only around 1% in growth.
