Indian police have arrested one suspect in connection with a brazen daytime robbery at a bank in Singrauli (a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh), in which cash and gold worth more than ₹15 crore (approximately $1.8 million) were stolen. The suspect, identified as Kamlesh Kumar, was detained by railway security officers aboard a train near Aurangabad in the eastern state of Bihar, with around ₹15 lakh in cash and some gold recovered from him. Madhya Pradesh police have launched a wider manhunt spanning four states as they search for additional suspects involved in the heist.
