Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, will continue serving his sentence under house arrest with an electronic ankle bracelet after a court rejected his bid for greater freedom. Høiby, who was sentenced to four years in prison for two counts of rape, had sought release in order to be closer to his mother, who is currently ill, while awaiting a ruling from the Court of Appeal. The decision keeps him under strict supervision as the appeals process runs its course.
