A weapon firing tiny tungsten metal cubes is being used by Israeli forces in Lebanon, causing devastating internal injuries to civilians, according to war surgeon Dr Tahir Mohammed. The same munitions have previously been documented in Gaza, where the metal fragments spray outward on detonation and penetrate the body with extreme force. Dr Mohammed described the weapons as "indiscriminate," drawing direct parallels between their use in both conflict zones and raising alarm over the pattern of civilian harm.
