Tadej Pogacar claimed victory on the second stage of the Tour of Romandy (a prestigious multi-day cycling race held in French-speaking Switzerland), sprinting to the finish ahead of a group of around thirty riders in Vucherens. The 173-kilometre stage featured more than 3,000 metres of climbing across rolling terrain, with a four-man breakaway caught just kilometres from the line before Pogacar outsprinted his rivals. The Slovenian champion, who also won the race's opening stage, now leads the overall classification ahead of prologue winner Dorian Godon of France.
