British swimmer Adam Peaty claimed the 50m breaststroke title at the British Championships on Wednesday, clocking 26.64 seconds to beat Filip Nowacki, a day after also winning the 100m event. The 31-year-old, a three-time Olympic champion and world record holder in the 50m — a discipline newly added to the 2028 Los Angeles Games programme — said his focus is firmly on reaching the top of the Olympic podium in two years. The victory also secured Peaty a place on the British squad for the European Aquatics Championships in Paris in August.
