Kenya's Ministry of Health has reported 19 deaths from Mpox since the outbreak was confirmed three months ago, with total confirmed cases now reaching 1,298 across more than 40 of the country's 47 counties. Mombasa, the coastal port city, has recorded the highest number of infections at 452, followed by the capital Nairobi with 320, while seven counties along major transport corridors and border crossings have been designated high-risk zones. Authorities are calling for expanded surveillance, public awareness campaigns, and intensified screening at border points to curb further spread of the disease.
