A former federal prosecutor in Florida has been indicted on felony charges after allegedly emailing herself a sealed special counsel report on Donald Trump's retention of classified documents — and attempting to disguise the files as cake recipes. Carmen Lineberger, who served as a managing assistant US attorney and ran the Fort Pierce branch of the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday during a court appearance in West Palm Beach.
According to the indictment, Lineberger received access to the report in early 2025 through her professional role and subsequently forwarded it from her Department of Justice inbox to her personal email account in December 2025. Before doing so, she allegedly renamed the file
