The Mediacorp drama Emerald Hill — a sequel to the beloved 2009 series The Little Nyonya — dominated Singapore's Star Awards 2026 (an annual television awards ceremony organised by national broadcaster Mediacorp), claiming six major prizes including Best Drama and Best Original Song at the April 19 ceremony. Lead actress Jesseca Liu won her first-ever Best Actress trophy after 22 years in the industry, while co-stars Tyler Ten and Chen Liping took Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively, and child actress Ivory Chia received the Young Talent Award. The clean sweep cements Emerald Hill's status as the standout local production of 2025, while Best Actor went to Desmond Tan for his portrayal of troubled twin brothers in the separate drama Devil Behind The Gate.
