Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville has left West Ham United to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal (one of the Middle East's wealthiest football clubs) in a deal reportedly worth €70 million. The 24-year-old, who impressed for the Netherlands at this summer's World Cup with two goals and two assists, was also pursued by AS Roma, but Al-Hilal's financial firepower proved decisive. West Ham, who were relegated from the English Premier League last season, have now raised significant funds through player sales, having also sold Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham Hotspur for €99 million.
